Good afternoon St. Sebastian School Families,
Whew, what a week!
You should receive a robo-call, text, and email today, alerting you that we will be CLOSED tomorrow (Wednesday, 1/30) due to the predicted severe weather. We will communicate a decision for Thursday as we know more information. Today has been a smooth day at school, full of cozy pajama-clad children, continued fun and learning, and the Spelling & Geography Bee championships. Congratulations to Katie Knapp for winning BOTH Bees and to all participants!
All school and parish-wide activities are cancelled tonight through tomorrow night. PAL is open today (Tuesday) until it’s standard closing time of 6:00pm. Coming home in backpack mail with your family mail-carrier and also included in this Newsletter are the following: A survey to gauge whether all families are receiving the emergency alerts (please return).
1. A revised schedule for Catholic Schools Week (please note themed dress days, No Bowling or special lunch on Friday – will be rescheduled – though Hot lunch will be served).
2. Information on applying for the Choice Program in February (if applicable) for next year. Remember, all returning students MUST apply and submit the proper verification documentation in the February window (2/1 – 2/20) to be considered before newly applying families! Otherwise, you may lose your seat, per state law on how the process works.
3. Fish Fry information – Fish Fry is THIS Friday, February 1st!
Please remember to return your Registration packets for the 2019-2020 school year as soon as possible. We rely on this information as we plan for the year ahead. (Free dress passes will come home at a later date for those who have submitted theirs). Lastly, be on the lookout for the sign-up for Conferences, emailed out in the coming days. Conferences are Wednesday, February 13th and Thursday, February 14th.
Stay warm and safe!
