St. Sebastian School has received Exemplary Recognition from the Archdiocese of Milwaukee for Educating the Whole Child. The award was presented by Dr. Kathleen Cepelka, Superintendent of Catholic Schools, and Bishop Jeffrey Haines at the Milwaukee Catholic Educators’ Convention on October 5, 2018.
In the words of the Archdiocesan committee that evaluated St. Sebastian last spring, “St. Sebastian should be held up as a model of educating the whole child. From their commitment to ongoing guidance, to professional development both in academics and issues of trauma, to faith and justice elements with their relationship with St. Coletta’s, to their strong presence of achievement via MAP data, data-driven instruction, speech pathology and occupational therapy classroom infusion, to community partnerships, this school should be recognized beyond even exemplary as something other schools wishing to deliver whole child experiences should see.”
We are proud of our teachers and staff!
